FAQs

What if I don't have any work experience?

Employers know many students don’t have in-depth industry experience. They value your coursework, projects, summer work, research, volunteer and extra-curricular activities.

I want to do both ESIP & PEY Co-op

Both Registration and Placement fees apply to each program. Once you register, you have access to our Career Portal and services for the academic year. Registration fees are not refundable. You can do ESIP and PEY Co-op back-to-back (May-August 2018 for ESIP, September 2018- August 2019 for PEY Co-op).

Can I split my work term? I heard you can work at multiple companies during your PEY Co-op?

No, the new policy is that all PEY Co-ops must be a 12-16 month continuous work term at 1 company. For opportunities to qualify for PEY Co-op, they must be a continuous 12-16 month term, which is the standard requirement for government approval of the program.

My CGPA isn't high enough

Don’t fret! There is another registration round in January. Use this time to focus on your grades and prepare. You can find the registration periods here

What are 'my chances' of getting a position?

It all comes down to how prepared you are. Many of our students have been successful because they were prepared; understanding a company’s hiring needs and aligning it with your interests to ensure a good fit. We are here to help you get there.

Can I do multiple ESIP and PEY Co-op work terms?

All eligible students can complete 1 ESIP and 1 PEY Co-op work term during their undergraduate program.
