We provide services that link employers to our U of T students, graduates and alumni populations. Through these services, our staff ensures your business receives the online and on-campus presence it requires to connect with our students, graduates and alumni. We offer 2 programs that are specially designed to help U of T undergraduate students develop the skills and experience they need for the workplace.


Professional Experience Year Co-Op Program (PEY Co-op)

PEY Co-op

  • 1 continuous paid work term for 12-16 months
  • Start date: May through August 2018
  • During the work term, student status changes from full-time to part-time
  • Mostly 3rd year students participate

Engineering Summer Internship Program


  • 1 continuous paid internship for 4 months
  • Start date: May 2018
  • Mostly 2nd year students participate

When you hire from The Engineering Career Centre, we offer our full support to help you find your hire(s) and aid in the communication between you and your hire(s) from start to end of employment. Here is what you can gain from hiring with us:

  1. It’s free
    • There are no fees when you register to our Career Portal, post jobs, and utilize the recruitment support available to you!
  2. Tax credit letters
    • Ontario employers may be eligible for a co-operative education tax credit worth up to $3,000 in incentives. Check Canada Revenue Agency’s Co-operative Education Tax Credit for details. You can check if your company is eligible for the tax credit here
  3. Recruitment support
    • We can provide resources for your to aid during the recruitment period like job posting and interview scheduling services, as well as providing on-campus interview space.
  4. 1-on-1 meetings
