Submit Your Event Engagement Request

The Engineering Career Centre – Events Engagement Request Form is designed to facilitate the submissions and promotion of various career-related events for students. 

This form allows employers, students, faculty, and staff to promote and propose events such as employer information sessions, student development workshops, faculty-led lectures, orientation programs and special events, etc.  

We strongly recommend submitting your event request at least 4 weeks before the event date to ensure effective promotion and smooth execution. Submitted event requests will be reviewed and are prioritized based on the alignment of goals, strategies and according to the Engineering Career Centre staff availability. Our busiest times are September, October, January, February and March.  

Benefits of Submitting an Event Request with the Engineering Career Centre

  • Streamlined Planning: Centralized the event engagement submission with the Engineering Career Centre to ensure your request will be reviewed in a timely manner 
  • Diverse Collaboration Opportunities: Encourage a wide range of events that cater to different professional development, and opportunities to collaborate with the Engineering Career Centre and other departments, employers, student groups, and faculty members and staff.  
  • Enhanced Visibility: Receive support with event logistics and promotion through appropriate channels to maximize attendance and engagement from the ECC team  

Types of Events/ Services to Submit

Event Promotion: Requesting the Engineering Career Centre to promote your hosted/ organized event to the students. 

Event Collaboration: Requesting the Engineering Career Centre to collaborate/ execute an event including promotion.   

Three Types of Event Collaboration:

  • Employer-Led Events  
  • Student-Led Events  
  • Faculty-Led/ Staff Events & Courses  

Submission Process

  1. Complete the Form: Fill out the Events Engagement Request Form with all necessary details. 
  2. Review & Discussion: The Engineering Career Centre team will review the submission for completeness and alignment of goals, strategies and according to the staff availability. A representative will reach out to you for further discussion and details if necessary. 
  3. Approval & Confirmation: Once approved, the organizer will receive a confirmation email with further instructions and support from the Engineering Career Centre. 
  4. Promotion: Your event will be added to the Engineering Career Centre Portal and promoted through relevant channels to the students.
