Before the event, students will be invited to apply to a mock job posting from Tesla. At the workshop, the Tesla team will present the standout applications and explain what drew their attention. All submissions will be anonymous.

A day in the life as a Vehicle Software/Hardware Engineer

The life as an engineer varies across Tesla, from glovebox work in materials lab in California to operational leadership responsibilities on the manufacturing floor in Texas, but the unified mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy connects the vast ecosystem of engineering talent together. In this session, hiring managers and engineers from the Vehicle Software and Vehicle Hardware teams will speak on their experience as an engineer, from their early career through where they are today. There will be multiple presenters representing a mix of teams.

In addition to their stories, the presenters will provide an inside look at engineering profiles across their teams, leading to a discussion and AMA session at the end for direct student participation.
